Basic recreation of Likabali helipad of the Indian Army. ICAO : IA25

Likabali is a district headquarter town in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Likabali has a sizeable army base and boasts a significantly large operations facility of the Indian Army Corps of Aviation. The facility is usually abuzz in the mornings with army helicopters flying sorties to remote villages and advanced landing grounds in the northeast like Mechuka, Geiling, Daparijo, Along and more. The facility also serves as a transit halt and connect point for air sorties flying in from other airbases to the northeast.

Likabali has a very small runway and multiple helipads with maintenance and logistics facilities for helicopters.

Missions to the upper mountains need to be mounted early in the morning so as to return before afternoon to avoid low light, inclement weather and infavourable wind draft. However the scenic beauty of the place is breathtaking and a flight to one of the locations in the upper mountains is sure to leave you smitten.

Many thanks to superspud, colinj, Amarillo, trsfto and other creators for these amazing object libraries.

Immense gratitude to mamudesign and discord for all the help and guidance and patience. Most of what I have learned is from there.

*Msfs Map enhancement addon may be used for better ground textures in India locations

*I also recommend northeast India airbases pack which enhances a lot of nearby northeastern aribases like Mechuka, Along, Pasighat etc. which are locations to which helicopters operate from Likabali.

This helipad is one of my first attempts at scenery creation so please expect and excuse errors and shortcomings. Should you encounter something serious, please let me know and I'll attempt to correct. Have fun, happy flying and safe landings !
