Cork is the second largest city in Republic of Ireland and third largest in the island of Ireland located in the south-west of Ireland, in the province of Munster. Following an extension to the city's boundary in 2019, its population is c. 210,000.
The city centre is an island positioned between two channels of the River Lee which meet downstream at the eastern end of the city centre, where the quays and docks along the river lead outwards towards Lough Mahon and Cork Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world.

Hi Again,
My next tour involves visiting every airport/field/strip in the province of Munster in Ireland. I'm saving Cork until nearly last. Currently I'm parked up in EIKK in Kilkenny (just outside Munster), a really pleasant grass airstrip, SAC designs has a good mod for EIKK here on flightsim.to.
Question, are you finished with Ireland? If not would you consider doing Kilkenny City? I've only just noticed that it has photogrammetry on Google.
And also is it possible to add night lighting when doing these? Same question applies for Derry (where I don't see any night lighting) and for Cork City (where I'm guessing there isn't any night lighting)?

Unfortunately the night lighting can only be added per point of light - for now I unfortunately don't have enough free time to work 4-5 weeks in 1-1 city ... :-( I usually choose from the needs listed here: https://flightsim.to/requests/scenery

Hiya - while correcting the Londonderry / Derry, flag, it looks like you accidentally put Cork City back under British Rule!! You had the right flag first time round for Cork. It must be a nightmare trying to unravel the politics of this part of the world.

Thank you Vizipok for this excellent rendition of Cork City where I was born. Like outforaflight, I also was waiting for this scenery to match the super Dublin City scenery from Mark Taylor. Unfortunately for me and some other simmers,, in Cork Airport's scenery I have tried everything to make its Terminal building to appear. If you or outforaflight have any suggestions to make it appear, I would love to read your comments thereon. What I hated in Cork's default scenery was the non appearance of dear old Blackrock Castle where I used to play around as a young chap. Cheers, George

Thank you so so much for this. I've been waiting forever hoping someone would tackle Cork City (I was close to trying to learn how to do these myself, that would not have ended well). With the recent sand banks in the harbour and the new MK Studios Cork Airport I cannot wait to head south to check my home area out. Currently touring the Inner Hebrides in the C172, and I'm a strict take-off from where I last landed simmer, so I'll need to be patient a while longer. And I'll fly down via Derry as well! (resisting a diversion to Dundee for the moment, you've been busy!) Thanks so much again.
