'The Southwest's Premier General Aviation Airport' and my home airport, I live by the side of the 04 final approach track
Located near Gloucester and Cheltenham in the heart of the Cotwolds in the UK the Gloucestershire airport is central to the stunning scenery of Gloucestershire and has an active and thriving aviation community. It is home to a number of flying schools and other aviation businesses
This scenery mod brings forty custom hanger models to MSFS duplicating the real world buildings and airport layout. 09/27 and 04/22 are the active runways, the 18/36 runway is now closed and used as a taxiway. There is a grass runway parallel to the main 04/22 runway (04R/22L)
My thanks goto Highflyer525 for permission to use some of his work and to Alex S for updated information on the airport
v5.0 - Minor building changes and 12 helipads positioned on the field and near hangers plus one more on the main apron. No excuse not practise with the helicopters now :)
v4.0 - ILS for rwy27 added and verified. Numerous other minor tweaks and adjustments for SU10 release
v3.0 All taxiways and aprons rebuilt. Runway 18/36 removed and converted to taxiway D and G in-line with the current plate for EGBJ. Countless other smaller updates. Note if you spawn in on a runway your plane will appear part way down the runway. This is a bug in the SU10 beta SDK and affects runways with displaced thresholds. The bug has been reported.
v2.0 PBR textures and night lighting added to all of the buildings and the taxiways improved for general use. Still a lot of work required to replace the taxiways and aprons and add a lot more infrastructure to the airport but that's a least a month away if I can get the necessary information.
ILS for Runway 27 is active (109.95Mhz) as well as papi lights for all runways.
Next phase will include updating each model with current signage where I can and adding in the LOD models to maximise performance.
v1.1 minor update to re-add the ATIS, tower, ground and approach radio frequencies
v1.0 initial release
My home base. Thank you!!

The ILS for approach is not working for me, what do I need to do to fix it?
I love this airport because it's so bumpy.

The ILS for 27 should be up on 109.95. If it isn't please let me know and I'll recheck the code on my end. Kev

I'm currently training at EGBJ and I find your scenery fantastic. Really appreciate the effort that's gone into this and I'm glad to see you're keeping it very much up to date.

If you have any video of taxiing out to, and returning from, the runways that show the taxiway signage I'll love to get a copy so I can accurately place the signs. Kev

Thank you. I'm going to try it without the Mike scenery as I try to keep addons to a minimum.

Downloaded v3 and had a quick flight from here to your latest version of Astom Down and all looks good. Keep up the good work Kev.
I note that Halesland airfield (near Draycott is not in msfs (though is visible from the air). Just needs a couple of hangars and a clubhouse aling with a few static gliders if you fancy it (the default buildings look very silly).

I'll take a look at Halesland, sounds like it is a simple addition to the sim

Fantastic add-on. Many thanks for improving my local. Runway 09/27 has been reprofiled I understand and runway 18/36 is now taxiway G (north side) and taxiway D (south side). The updated chart is not in the public AIP until AIRAC 2022/07

Thank you for the info Mike, looking down runway 27 in real life it still looks like a roller coaster ride lol. I'm slowly working through all the models updating them when I get current information and then I'll start on making the taxi ways accurate. I live under the final approach for 04 :)

Wow, looks like it's coming on well Kev. I've really been enjoying v1.1 and looking forward to v2 when I get home later. Can't wait to see the future updates you have planned.
I got my PPL at SFS 25 years ago and when I checked the other day, Jenny Lyons was still there. I must pop in for a beer or a coffee one day and say hello. Might even treat myself to an hour in the 152.
p.s Found an airport chart here that may be quite useful. It shows the PAPI lights for09/27 and VASI lights for 04/22. RWY 36 has no lights and I'm not sure it is in use any longer.
!'ve downloded v2 and flown a couple of flights along with a few taxis around the airport to look at the buildings. It's shaping up really nicely now and I eagerly await your planned developments. Great work so far and really appreciated.

Like your scenery Kev, but after installing, I lost Gloster ground, tower and Gloster approach on the radio. Would you mind checking your version to make sure it's not just me.
Also, any chance of adding a few parking spots so as to be able to cold start.
Thanks

I'll double check for you, there should be ground and tower freqs and around 20 parking spots for cold and dark starts. Kev
