Industriemuseum Zeche Zollern
Zollern colliery industrial museum
The Zollern colliery is a disused hard coal mine in the north-west of the city of Dortmund, in the Bövinghausen district. It consists of two pits that were connected underground: the pit I/III (i.e. the pits I and III) in Kirchlinde and the pit II/IV in Bövinghausen.
Today, the Zollern II/IV colliery is one of eight museum locations of the decentralized LWL industrial museum, which also has its headquarters here. The colliery is an anchor point of the Route of Industrial Heritage in the Ruhr area and the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH).
