This folder contains a repaint for the Ryan ST-A by A1R Design Bureau. It shows Ryan ST-M VH-AWG. This aircraft was built in San Diego with c/n 459 in 1940, and shipped to the Netherlands East Indies, arriving there in January 1941. There it joined the Royal Netherlands Naval Aviation Service as S-23. In February 1942, together with the other Dutch Ryans, it was shipped to Ausralia, where it joined the RAAF as A50-11. It served with different RAAF training units until 1945, when it demobbed and sold, becoming VH-AGD. In 1948 it went to the Newcastle Aero Club in NSW. In 1956 it was sold to an owner in Victoria. In 1967 it bwas damged in an emergency landing near Mildura and tyhe wreackage was stored. In 1995, it was purchased as a restauration project by Graham Hosking and in 2000 it made its first post restoration flight, now registered VH-AWG, and painted in the original Dutch scheme as S-23. It is still airworthy and based in Victoria. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.
